In some cases, tree cabling and tree bracing are appropriate to decrease the risk of tree failure. Cables are usually of high-strength steel and intended to limit the movement of trunks and supported branches so they do not fail during storms as the tree grows in strength and gets accustomed to our Dallas weather conditions. Braces are rods that go through weak branches and trees with multiple steams to provide rigid support from twisting forces.
Not sure what you need? We can help. Many trees do not need cabling or bracing at all, but when an inspection reveals that it is the best course of action, we can help you get the most life and beauty possible from a weak tree or one that has not yet developed to the point that it can withstand Mother Nature on its own.
